Foster Homes
Further help? Yes, you can become a foster home.
There is hardly a more important "job" in animal welfare than that of a foster home. In other words, people who take care of our dogs while they are waiting to be adopted.
Foster homes should
-
have experience with dogs
-
be familiar with the "characteristics" of rescue
-
show the dog a lot of patience and affection,
-
be able to give the dog away when adopted
-
be willing to actively participate in a possible placement, including facilitating visits in their home for interested parties
And what if the foster family can no longer part with the dog? Well, that's how it is sometimes and a fostering agreement becomes an adoption agreement. Because we always agree with a foster home the option of a permanent home.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people who are interested in one of our dogs. But without knowing the dog, we are unsure which dog is the right choice. With the possibility of becoming a foster family, you can get to know an animal very well and make a final decision after a certain amount of time.
There are certainly 100 more things that could be explained and described. But that's enough for now.
