Post Adoption

Initially, the stress of the journey and the whole adjustment to life with a family can cause small ailments, e.g. gastrointestinal problems, usually caused by the change in feed. But all of that works.

Castration….another topic. Older dogs have often already been neutered here. If you adopt an animal that has not been castrated and are against castration, we ask that you avoid reproduction in any case. We are too often confronted with unwanted litters and find helpless puppies on the street that an irresponsible person has simply disposed of.

If you have problems with living together and/or unwanted behavior of the dog, PLEASE contact us as soon as possible. Don't wait until you are completely overwhelmed with a situation.

We try to help you in every situation. Even if a dog is returned. BUT, we can't do magic, we have to find a foster home for this animal first and that can't happen in a few days.
A message that the dog "must go immediately" serves neither you nor the animal, because then our hands are tied. Again, we don't cede responsibility with placement, we share responsibility as long as the animal is alive.

And that's why we're happy to visit you, with your consent and by appointment, even after the placement. The greatest pleasure for us is when you occasionally send us small reports and photos and/or videos of our former friends. Just keep in touch.

This is the best gift for our work
